Cleverson was born in Brazil and studied sculpture at the Escola de Musica e Belas Artes do Paraná.  He has shown works including drawing, sculpture and film at venues throughout Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and New York.  In 1996 he moved to New York where he studied Art History at New York University.  Cleverson lives and works in Brooklyn.
